OUR DEVICE
01 / MOTHER-CENTERED
Breastfeeding mothers need to breast pump need a more comfortable, person-centered way to do so. By making the device in a softer, more deformable material, this may promote a more comfortable experience. Incorporating a hand-expression like mechanism to the device, this may allow for a decreased need for suctioning force.
02 / SPILL PROOF
Breastfeeding mothers who chose to breast pump need a safe storage and collection method for doing so. By keeping the collection system completely separate from the suction system, this may allow for clean collection. Two separate layers of the “flange,” keeping the product completely separate from the device.
03 / EASY TO CLEAN
Breastfeeding mothers need a safe and efficient way to clean their device to avoid contamination. By creating a closed, separate pumping and collecting system, only the collection system will be exposed to the lactation products. To achieve this design, the Breastly device utilizes flat tubing for effective and efficient milk collection.

BACKGROUND
The modern mother looks like many different things to many different people. However you tackle motherhood and all of life's other responsibilities we want to make it easier on you! Are you tired of your uncomfortable, hard to clean, bulky breast pump taking hours out of your day? Enter the Breastly Pump!
OUR VISION
Team Breastly was formed on the idea of women innovating for women's health! Our mission is to make breastfeeding a more enjoyable and less stressful experience for mothers everywhere. We are constantly listening and learning from the user to develop a device that makes women feel comfortable and strong as mothers!
ABOUT US
We are a passionate and motivated team of biomedical engineers ready to tackle an issue of women's health that has been ignored for too long! Each with our own backgrounds and areas of interest, we have come together to design a breast pump that accommodates the busy mother's needs!
PARTNERS
A special thanks to The David A. Rice Design Endowed Fund, Tulane Biomedical Innovation for Global Impact, and The Tulane Department of Biomedical Engineering.
We would also like to thank Dr. Katherine Raymond, Dr. Michael Dancisak and all of our mentors that have guided us this year.
